Join Us and Fight for the Rights of Survivors at the Inaugural Walk and Roll-A-Thon!
Show your support for catastrophically injured car crash survivors by signing up for our inaugural Walk and Roll-A-Thon today!
The Lighthouse Neurological Rehabilitation Center will be holding a Walk and Roll-A-Thon on August 27, 2024, from 1:00pm-3:00pm at Silver Lake Park, Traverse City, MI. Each participant will travel one mile–whether by foot or wheelchair–to help raise awareness of the need to fix Michigan’s auto insurance law.
The Walk and Roll-A-Thon is a statewide series of events organized by CPAN, the consumer protection organization fighting for fair insurance laws. The #MICareCrisis was caused by Michigan’s 2019 auto insurance reform, which cut reimbursements for rehabilitation and long-term care providers by nearly 50%. The Lighthouse Neurological Rehabilitation Center has been fighting with CPAN to fix the law with legislation that will restore the rights of auto accident survivors and any consumers injured in the future.
You can register for the Walk and Roll-A-Thon here https://secure.frontstream.com/walk-roll-a-thon-2024. We will also be posting about the event on our social media channels, so please consider sharing any posts with the hashtag #WalkAndRoll24 on your personal accounts!
We are asking participants to wear one or several of the event’s signature colors: royal blue, black, and yellow. Royal blue represents the determination of auto crash survivors to thrive despite their life-changing accidents. Black commemorates the lives of those who have died in the aftermath of Michigan’s new auto reform law, which severely reduced medically necessary supports. Yellow signals the spirit survivors continue to show in their fight to end the #MICareCrisis.
This is a great way to show state leaders that we won’t stop fighting until we fix this law. Once again, you can register here https://secure.frontstream.com/walk-roll-a-thon-2024.
Please Walk and Roll with us on August 27, 2024!
